Kids Lessons

Group Riding & Private Lessons (all ages)

Riding lessons are offered ( year round) in the arena and on the trail at all levels. If you are new to the ranch we will schedule an private lesson to place you in the correct group.

Some classes emphasize on basic riding techniques , others include reining, showing, trail riding, barrels and problem solving with the horse. Schooling horses are available , or you may use your own horse !

Group lessons for kids ( Ages 5-12 ) $ 17.50

Group lessons for Youth ( ages 12-18) $ 20.00

Private Lessons (All ages) $ 30.00

All riders are required to have current AEF membership and must sign a waiver.

For lesson cancelations a 24hr notice is required or you will be charged for lesson

Riders under 18 must wear a helmet.

Tiny Tots for parent & child (ages 3-6)

This is our new "mommy and me" type program for parent and child to learn about horses, have riding lessons, and enjoy horsey activities together. A fun introduction for kids, ages three to six, to the wonderful world of horses! Each child will receive their own grooming kit!

Lead-line lessons (ages 5-9)

Lots more fun than the petting zoo! The lead-line lessons are a dun and easy way for child and pony to get acquainted. An instructor will show the child around the horse, help mount, and lead them for a half-hour lesson. Giving the child a sense of security , confidence, and above all enjoyment!

Five 30 min sessions for $ 99.00    call for details

Entry Level Rider ( ages 7-12)

Kids will be learning basic horse care, saddling, bridling and how to safely interact with the horse. While on the horse they learn balancing skills and basic riding. Lessons will begin on a lead line so the rider does not have to worry about steering, and will progress towards a goal of independent riding.

Three Barrels , Two hearts , One dream ( ages 10 & up)

Finnally a program for the barrel racing enthusiast! Students will be guided through the basic training & riding techniques, and learn how to work together with their horse. We recommend this program for all the beginner barrel racers! It is a great program for students to gain confidence in riding and in the showing environment.
